There’s One Thing That We All Missed In The Classic Film ‘Home Alone’

When this movie first came out, we knew that we were watching something special because it was the perfect holiday flick. Since then, it has become an instant classic and for that reason, we have watched it every year. However, even after multiple viewings, we were missing out on something big! First, let’s go through the plot once again to refresh our memories:

Kevin McCallister was forgotten and left ‘Home Alone’ when his family went on a holiday vacation and didn’t know that they left him behind until they were long gone.

This was both good and bad for Kevin.

Good, because he felt as if he had the whole place to himself and did whatever he wanted. However, it turned bad when a couple of burglars thought that it was vacant for the holidays and tried to rob his home.

First of all, in the beginning of the movie when the family was packing for their holiday trip, a pizza delivery boy brings in some pizzas and Joe Pesci’s also dresses us as a cop to scope out the house that he’s about to rob.

Of course, this was a detail that we all completely missed!

It was during a hectic scene in which all of the family members were packing, cleaning up and eating .

Also, take a close look at the contents of this trash.

Kevin’s ticket was accidentally thrown away by his father! When Kevin spilled milk all over the passports and ticket, his father wiped it up and tossed everything into the garbage.

That’s why hit was easy to not notice his absence when they were at the boarding gate.

Some other moments in which he was overlooked was when they were all getting into the car to go to the airport, Heather counted the neighbor kid as Kevin because he was in line with the rest of the family.

Finally, at the gate, the agent simply counted the tickets and because Kevin’s was in the trash, his was not counted.
